*Info for 1956 Dynaflow only

A. The original 1956 torque ball, AT-5645, had rubber molded on the outside.

B. The original outer torque ball retainer, AT-5646, was
plain on the inside, and had no rubber bonded to it.

C. Buick discontinued the torque ball with the rubber bonded to it and
put the rubber on the inside of the outer torque ball retainer instead.

D. The Buick instructions said to buff off the rubber on the 1956 torque
ball using a wire wheel and then replace the outer torque ball retainer
(AT-5646) with one that has rubber bonded to it on the inside.
Note: Rubber can not rub against rubber!

E. Potential Problem - Some, if not all, 1956 torque balls (AT-5645) had rubber molded on the inside also.
Do not remove the rubber on the inside unless it has been damaged! If you have to remove the inside rubber, or
it has already been removed, you will now  require  a different style of the AT-5643 inner torque ball retainer
to get the clearances correct. This P/N is AT-5643A or Buick P/N 1168451, I do not have this special retainer.

F. The spacer, part number AT-5641 is Buick P/N 1323147 and I do not have.
It is only used in the 1956 Dynaflows.
