(Includes all gaskets, o’rings, lip seals, clutches*, front
seal, rear seal and the steel sealing rings (16-18) to overhaul
the
above transmission type - the bands are not included.)
*The front clutches consist of three (3) friction plates
(.060 - .063)
and three (3) selective frictions* plus four (4) steel
plates and
the rear clutches have five (5) frictions plus four (4) steel plates.
*(Includes one [1] each of .060 - .063, .073 -
.076 and .087 - .090)
*After
assembling the front clutch unit in the retainer, measure the clearance between
the bottom of the cushion spring and the top friction plate. If the measurement
exceeds .040", use thicker friction plates to reduce the clearance to
.020".
